Holly days

So mummy had something called a holly days the other week, which did mean that she basically abandoned us for a whole 7 days! She went to a place called Pain and came back looking a different colour to how she went, so we don't know what do happen in this Pain place. But mummy was happy and tired when she came back, so we do think she must have had lots of walks and noms without us :(

While mummy was away we gots left with our auntie Toni. Now, she's not our real proper auntie as she isn't furry, but she's one of mummy's best friends and she looked after us very good. She didn't forget to feed us noms, she took us on many nice walks,

and we met her boyfriend (ooooohhhh) uncle Andrew, who is now in lurve with Amy!

Mummy did be worried that auntie Toni might not be her friend after the holly day as she thought we might terrorise her and uncle Andrew, but we's was on our bestest behaviours and was really good. It was auntie Toni who was naughty and spilt her red drink up mummy's wall!! Lucky for auntie Toni she didn't get sent to her bed with a smacked behind like we woulds have done if it was us. Though we did hear whispers that she was going to blame Amy..... I would have done.....

Anyways, mummy was wrong about us scaring auntie Toni and uncle Andrew away, and now uncle Andrew is adamant that he's getting a dog like Amy when they buy their house. Stupid man.... doesn't he know terriers are bestest? He should get a Bobby dog, like me!

Now mummy is home from her holly days and caught up on all her sleep. And now she is talking about me having to go to see the vet lady tonight for some fascinations. Now I know when Ames had her's earlier this year she cried and was sick on the vet's floor. I have to be a brave boy and not do that, mummy says, and then I can get some nice noms like some ham! We likes the ham :)

Am off now to dream about the noms and not think about the fascinations..... hope 6 o'clock doesn't hurry round!

Hop-along

Hello all, and sorry for the long absence. We has been enjoying the sunshine with our mummy!

At the moment I am home alone with mummy as Ames has been taken to the vet...and left there!! She hurt her foot a couple of weeks ago, which meant she had to see an emergunny vet and then take lots of sweets called tablets. She had stopped being a drama queen and was just walking normally but then she had another knock.

It wasn't my fault, I tell you! She made me chase her up the stairs, into mummy's bedroom and go crashing into the wall. Amy MADE me, I promise! Since the "accidental" crash, Amy has been limping again. She was real bad on Saturday night and mummy slept on the floor with her for a little while. Sunday wasn't much better and I didn't leave her side.

Though I still think hop-along Amy could have done a better job than that Rooney and his chums trying to beat ze Germans! And she definitely would have done better than that linesman......

So Amy went back to the vet again yesterday and they told mummy she would need to be back today to have some photos of her bones taken, so that's where she is now. She spent all of yesterday afternoon and evening preening to look beautiful for her photos. I tried explaining about them just taking photos of her bones, but she's just a pup, she no understand.

One bad thing was Ames wasn't allowed to eat after 6 o'clock last night, which for some reason meant I wasn't allowed either. So now I'm chowing down on my noms in peace!

I am being grumpy with mummy and miss my Amy, so mummy has given me a pig's ear to cheer me up! I think I like Amy not being around sometimes...... but only sometimes. Mummy also promised me a long walk at lunchtime, so I am doing my stretches now and getting limbered up for it!

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine. Remember to drink lots and jump in any water you see at any given opportunity, then jump up at any people you see. They like you to help keep them cool, you see.

Over and out!

Bath time, urgh

Last night mummy decides that we pups need some primping and preening. I thought that I would be exempt from this because I be a boy. Amy, she be a girl so it is normal for her to be fussed over and groomed to perfection. But I am a scruffy terrier type and have a tough reputation to maintain! I need my coat.

Y'see, I am only small really (but don't tell the big boys around here that!). But whens I has my coat I look lots bigger, so I looks tougher! And then the bigguns be scareds of me!

But no. Mummy and I couldn't come to any understanding and, soon as daddy came round to see us I got manhandled up the stairs and into the bath where the zuzzy things stripped me of my handsome blonde curls.

Now hows do I impress the girls?

And not only that, but mummy has new purple shampoo. PURPLE! And, it smells! Mildly scented, it says. Maybe mildly to a human people's nose but not to Bobby Dazzler's sensitive little button nose! Mildly, my ar...

Hello beautiful friends (especially Marley),

We has baths last night! And guess what?! Mummy decides my beautiful ears are looking a bit too long so she cuts them!! Not the ears. But the fur on thems. So now they look much silkier and shiny and I am a beautiful princess again.

Bobby is not happy that he had to has his bath in front of me. But I won't tell everyone what a wimp he was crying "mummy, mummy, help me" when daddy got him with the zuzzers!
Ax

Next time, Ames, we're going to force daddy in the bath and see how he likes being attacked with the zuzzers!! Mwahaha!

(This is mummy's favourite)

We was hoping to be going to the park again tonights but mummy says she has to take Amy to visit the nice vet people for something called fascinations. I do be scared!! Ax

We've got talent

Morning all, Bobby here.

Back to work for mummy today so Amy and I decided to let her sleep last night. We gave her a wake-up call at 5:15 this morning - it's a bit too early for us but I think mummy is happy we wake her up as she always gets straight up when we call and lets us have a run in the garden.

We had a really nice weekend, apart from getting in trouble for chasing a bus (sorry, mum!). Amy practised her front crawl while chasing after some geese - I would have helped her out but I don't like to get my blonde curls wet; and I was very good at the field near Belsize Avenue when I was off lead and I didn't run away once! We have to let mummy think she is in control and she is "top dog", or she gets a bit grumpy with us. We also had a walk around where we used to live and Amy took a dip in the stinky bog so she had to have a bath, but mummy wasn't cross... she just laughed when Ames came out looking like a mud monster! Phew!

On Saturday night we had a couch potato night on the sofa watching 'Over The Rainbow' and 'Britain's Got Talent'. I think I'm going to have to stop mummy watching these programmes. I like the singing and the dancing that the human people do (though mummy cries sometimes when the little humans sing), but it's these show-off dogs. I mean, c'mon, dogs aren't meant to perform on command! Ok, ok, we sit when mummy tells us, and we lie down, and we stay... but dance? No, siree! Not me. Amy does a bit, but she's a girl [I'm a princess, Bobby!! Ax].

The Toto wannabes are something else... acting, dancing... pah! I'm not impressed. And the mutts trying to win over Simon, Amanda and Piers - don't they know human peoples work for us, not the other way around?

These performing hounds are letting the rest of us canine types down. Mummy loves watching the waltzing Weiners and breakdancing Bassets - she laughs at them and says how clever she thinks they are. She even says, sometimes, 'why can't you two do things like that?'. Why? I'll tell you why! Because we are DOGS! Not performing monkeys.

We are proper dogs. We like walks and toys and treats and chewing things and barking. Oh, and we like cuddles. But that's a dog thing, right?!

These performing pooches are making the human people think we could be cleverer. I am clever! Amy, she's not... she's a girl. But I'm a smart dog! I know that if I'm chewing something I shouldn't be that if I put it in Amy's bed then she will get in trouble for it. I know that if I cry mummy will take pity on me and let me sit beside her on the sofa. I know that looking up at mummy with watery eyes makes her think something is wrong and I get lots of cuddles (they taught me this at the RSPCA). I know how to work the human people!

Dogs of the world, we need to put a stop to all these dancing Daschunds showing us up. Next time 'Britain's Got Talent' comes on, or those Toto wannabes grace the box in the corner, take a stand and go and sit in front of the box!

Or, do like we do and sulk while mummy swoons over the "clever" dogs...

Welcome to our blog

Good afternoon, all.

Welcome to the blog of Sir Bobby Dazzler and Miss Princess Amy.

Amy and I thought it would be a good idea to keep a log of our mini adventures with our mum (@leaselou on this thing you call Twitter) so you guys can see all the mischief and fun we get up to!

At the moment, we pups are in disgrace. Yesterday Amy got a bit excited when she knew mummy would soon be home and she did do something naughty. Mummy has this leather thing that she keeps her pennies in for when she buys us marrowbones... actually, I think it's not mummy's leather thing as it has someone else's initials on and mummy says it's her "louis purse", so we think it belongs to someone called Louis. Anyway, mummy has a leather thing. Had a leather thing. Amy might have kind of chewed it.

It was Ames. All Ames. I am a good boy and don't have time to waste on chewing mummy's things. I might have been known to eat a lipglue or two back in the day, and I might have even chewed the odd pair of things mummy puts on her feet and one of those handbag wotsits, but leather things are small fry, not my thing.

When mummy got home she shut us in the garden for half an hour. Can you believe it? I told her it was all Amy but, no, I still got put outside. What does she think I am? Some kind of animal?

We still got our evening walk in the woods so mummy can't have been that upset. And I was an extra good Dazzler. When mummy let me off the lead I behaved and came back to her call every time, even after I went off chasing a pesky squirrel!

I did very well and made mummy smile again.

Now Amy would like to say a few words. I must apologise in advance because she is very hyper and doesn't really breathe much when she is speaking. It's a work in progress, she's getting better!
